Title: rules.
Description: PLEASE READ BEFORE JOINING!

THE RULES
(These are sort of a big deal.)

1.) Please register in the following format: First Name SPACE Last Name
Ex. Carson Rodgers, Laurie Collins, Paige Guthrie, etc.
Do not register under a code name. Nicknames are allowed as long as that
is what the character regularly goes by.

2.) RPing is like science - each action has an equal but opposite reaction.
Or something like that. Basically, don't throw a fit if something bad happens
to your character if you wrote them being an idiot and walking into the situation.
Characters will only die under permission of the owner, but if you walk into a
Mexican standoff and try to participate, chances are someone is going to get
shot.

3.) In reference to number two, if you are going to kill someone else's character,
for God's sake ask them first. And no is no. Also, no godmodding, power playing,
using another person's character, miming their actions, etc. You have your own
characters to worry about.

4.) No flaming. You have a fight, take it off the board. Or just think positively
and don't get in a fight in the first place. Be kind, be courteous, be polite, and
have fun. If you are having an issue with someone, please contact an admin
immediately.

5.) This RPG is rated R for violence, adult language, etc. So I guess nudity, sex,
drugs, etc. are allowed. I would prefer if no one under the age of 17 joined,
but seeing as how that is a big chunk of the RP market these days, just don't
tell me how old you are. Threads with very adult themes will be marked as such,
so please do not wander into those.

6.) This RPG is Intermediate to Advanced. That means you must have at least
350 words in your posts. And please run a spell check if you are not sure about
it. If the post does not meet guidelines, you will be asked to change it ASAP.

AS OF OCTOBER 16, for one month on a trial basis we have removed the word
minimum. We now prefer 350 words per post, as well as keeping in mind please
try to keep up with your posting partner. If they post 600, don't give them 60 in reply.
NOTE: Titles for threads should not extend over 6 words. The title should appear
completely on the main page.

7.) Do not begin playing until the APPROVED stamp is on your character bio and
it has been moved to its respective forum.

8.) As stated in the photo claim, we do not allow cartoon or anime images to be
used for character avatars. Please choose an identified picture of a celeb, model,
athlete, singer, whatever and claim it in the AVATAR CLAIM. If you do not do this
and someone comes around and does claim that person, you will be asked to
remove your picture immediately. Image size is 150x200 - please use an icon that
is 150x200.

9.) When in doubt, ask an administrator. We are all knowing. Well, not really,
but we pretend to be so at least.

10.) We aim for a 50/50 mix of canon and original characters. We do not have
a limit on the number of characters, but please, you know how many you can
handle. One hundred and eighty is probably too many. We will close off
applications for canons or originals if a proper mix is not met.

11.) Rules can and will be added at any time, so please be aware.

12.) In reference to number 11, as of May 20th, there will be twice monthly
activity checks. If you miss two in a row, you're out unless you have a good excuse,
so please, don't join and disappear. This rule has been included for the benefit
of the game.

12.) Also in reference to number 11, please note that powers should be limited
for plot purposes, unless you receive previous administrator permission.
This is to create more interesting plot lines and the like, as well as to set the
mood of the RPG. This applies to canons as well. Please ask an admin before you
create a world destroyer or something of the likes, kk?

13.) Zachary Quinto is the official mascot of TFG. Criticizing him is now
and forever against the rules. That includes his interpretation of Spock.
ZQ is one fierce bitch.

14.) And again in reference to number 11, all applications MUST be original,
and exclusive to The Fugitive Generation. We are unable to accept
applications that are copied, either in whole, or in part, from other
websites, even if they were previously your own work. If you are recycling
an old character, please ensure it is rewritten for use at The Fugitive Generation.
This is for your benefit, for our benefit, and to make sure you have read our
plot and are not plagiarizing. If you have any questions on this rule or would
like to ask for an exemption, please contact either Kay or Megan.

15. Again, in reference to #11, please ensure that any characters you play
MUST be aged 16 or over, to reflect the adult nature of the board, unless
they are on the board canons list. If you have an idea for a younger character,
please contact Megan or Anise (Kay) to discuss the possibility of an exception.
Each case will be taken on an individual basis.

Thanks and have a great time at The Fugitive Generation!
